FOOT BOX
Flipper foot box allows for natural foot position whilst lying on back and more room for thick socks, tent slippers or inner boots
Flipper foot box shape begins in lower leg area and tapers from knees to ankles reducing the amount of cold spots
NECK BAFFLE
3-D shaped neck baffle features hook and loop closure at either end and is ergonomically shaped to encase the whole circumference of the neck
Split drawcord arrangement in baffle enables further adjustment and pulls insulation closer to front or rear of neck
Baffle can be split by hook and loop and can fold down whilst in upright sitting position
UPPER BAG
3-D shaped hood design based on years of MONTANE® clothing construction experience, in particular the award-winning technical mountaineering jacket hood design
Hood shaping to prevent down migration and to limit cold spots
Peak visor on hood for improved weather resistance and prevention of weather entry into bag whilst bivvying. Peak helps stop condensation entering bag from inner tent or on contact with bivvy bag. Also helps shield light whilst sleeping in high Arctic / Antarctic summer conditions
Rear crown elastication reduces volume around hood which increases thermal efficiency, decreasing the need to wear a hat; ideal for use whilst in sitting position. Elastication also helps hood to move with the head whilst sleeping
Split, colour coded face drawcords to control and adjust volume individually around upper and lower face. Drawcords easily accessed from inside the sleeping bag
Soft brushed microfleece inner next to chin and mouth area
Lower face baffle and upper hood baffle arrangement is 3-D construction to ensure down volume around lower face drawcord area can loft easily
